1 – To provide a space that is deeply nurturing and empowering, giving womxn a rare opportunity to be in spiritual community together.
2 – To provide space and resources to learn and practice dharma and meditation with a focus on learning from both historical and present-day womxn practitioners & teachers.
3 – To provide a safe space for womxn to explore their individual identity and personal truths within the framework of Buddha dharma.
4 – To actively cultivate community that acknowledges and seeks to reduce the harm caused by racism, cis-heteropatriarchy, and oppression in all forms. And to in turn resource ourselves through truth, wisdom, compassion, relationship to nature, and refuge in the Sacred Feminine.
We chose the word “womxn” to be clear that transwomen and genderqueer people are an intrinsic part of the womxn identity. We use an intersectional lens, working for gender justice, racial justice, disability justice, and trans justice at once.
This is an evening meditation with a short Dharma talk and guided meditation instruction. Please contact me for the address. We sit at my house in South Beacon. Meditation cushions are provided. If you are more comfortable in a chair, that's fine. If you would like to bring a shawl, feel free. There is no cost.
