Castle is mainly a long hike without much scrambling. If we do Stuart Knob, there is some easy scrambling. It'll be a long day, so we'll move at at steady upper moderate pace.
This hike/scramble isn't for beginners, but for those with experience with this elevation + distance combo. NO SLOW POKES PLEASE! YOU MUST HAVE SOME SCRAMBLING EXPERIENCE!
Elevation gain: ~1500m +/-
Dist.: 26-30km round trip
Pace: Steady upper moderate pace with a longer break at the lake/summit. NO SLOW POKES or BEGINNERS PLEASE.

Gear (Mandatory): hiking boots or trail runners, carpool money, food, water min. of 2-3L., proper hiking clothing (no cotton/jeans), basic first aid kit, rain & wind gear, headlamp, appropriate eye protection & sunscreen.
Recommended: hiking poles, gps, extra water/water filter/tablets
