Tuesday Morning Walk to the Pond and Beyond in Silverado!

We will walk for around an hour.

For those with some time afterwards, Coffee at the Tim Hortons and Wendys on Shawville Gate across from the Bishop O'Burn school next to the Somerset Bridlewood Ctrain stn.

Dogs welcome if on leash and obedient! Just remember that some members may be afraid of them. Others are allergic to them and a loose dog can put them in the hospital if they come in contact with them.

I`d never been to Silverado before. Sunshine and some deep conversations with the guys this time. Thanks for organizing this walk, Dean.

I made the mistake of answering the phone. Start the walk without me and I will catch up.

One particular meetup group that I am a part of is called Divorce Support. It has a north and south chapter that meet on different evenings. This has proven to be very effective because our city is so long, north to south and travel times can be punishing. There is an overlap of members between the two groups for those who have the time and the interest to attend both. I think this could work for Calgary Nature Lovers too.

I agree, too far south. I live in Royal Oak.

    Hello Julie R
I see you are on this walk. Would it be possible for me and my two grandchildren to get a ride with you? Looking forward to seeing you.

Hi. I would love to join you on more of the Tuesday mornings but live way in NW and they are always way out south. 1/2 hour drive each way. Please consider some north or central (Sarcee Tr?) walks. Thanks so much for organizing. :)

Hi Susan. Yes, they are in the south for the most part and into Lynnwood to the north or Glenmore Reservoir off 90th Ave. S.W. I work in the south and the walks are between my overtime work and my regular work that starts around noon. That is why you will see them in the south part of the city. When I go on vacation, they may move to anywhere in the city. Christine Mac was doing some morning walks in the N.W. She and another had been stuck in congestion trying to get to the meetup locations so had to cancel a number of attempts. Any member can suggest meetups so I would suggest you try to get a group together for the N.W. areas, but try not to do it on Tuesdays as some of the Tuesday am group would love to join you in the N.W. meetups. You can also message Christine Mac and try to twist her rubber arm! ;)
