That's right, Prairie View again.
The trail-head is the Barrier Dam. After we cross the dam itself, we have a choice of route, and a choice of destination. We can decide or change our minds, when we get to the other side.
So the distance, and the elevation, depends on us. But it's good trail all the way.
You will need lunch and water, sunglasses, and sturdy boots, and traction (spikes or icers).
Car-pool from Southland LRT Station (north end of parking lot) at 8:00 am Sunday.
Or contact me if you want to make any other arrangement.
We'll be at the Barrier Dam parking-lot on Highway 40, by 9:30 am.
I often scramble the ridges and summits of K-Country. My specialty is the area near the Boundary Ridge. I explore that area, summer and winter.
Anybody who'd like to explore with me is welcome to join me. You can contact me through this website, or email me directly and we can choose a ridge, make a date, and get out there.
