Welcome to Calgary Nature and Social Adventures!
We are a non-profit group run by volunteers. We accept members from Calgary and the surrounding area to attend in-person events. Online events and webinars may be occasionally offered by the Organizer.
This is not a dating group. Private messaging is usually not well received and could result in your removal from this group.
To be a member of our group, YOU ARE REQUIRED to post Your FIRST NAME, THE FIRST INITIAL OR FULL SURNAME and a RECOGNIZABLE PHOTO of only you so our Organizers and members can recognize you when we meet. This is an important safety measure!
You have one Meetup/Account Profile Photo but you can also have a Group Profile Photo for each Group to which you belong. Please follow this link for information on how to set it up.

INFORMATION ON HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PROFILE AND ACCOUNT IS HERE
If for any reason you are unable to attend an event please change your RSVP to "Not Going" or message the host to change it for you as stated in each event. This allows for the next person on the waitlist to receive adequate notice to attend the event.
Make sure that you do not collect too many "NO SHOWS" on your profile or you may not be accepted or moved to the Not Going List and may be removed from our Group!!

Each time you RSVP to attend any event you agree to the following:
WAIVER
BY SIGNING UP (RSVP) FOR THIS EVENT, you signify that you are aware of all the risks associated with this event and are aware of your physical limits and how they relate to this particular event. You also agree that you take full responsibility without exception for the safety and well-being of yourself and your guest(s) and do not hold the organizer, host(s) or event organizers of the Calgary Nature and Social Adventures Meetup Group responsible for any harm, injury or property damage that might occur as a result of your participation. Participants who agree to carpool do so at their discretion and risk.
Where events allow for a guest, the guest is not considered an attendee of the group but is the full responsibility of the member who invited them.

Our events are in and around the Calgary area and include Municipal, Provincial and National Parks.

We are currently seeking Members to be promoted to Event Organizers to host events.
No Membership Fees - We encourage members to donate, a post will be made when contributions will be gratefully accepted to cover our yearly website costs of roughly $294.00 CDN
