CamTech Meetup - 2012 Resurrection Edition

  • Nov 29, 2012 · 6:45 PM
  • Judge Business School

Hey Little Monsters,

CamTech Meetup has risen like a phoenix from the ashes and is ready to bring you a brand new series of exciting technologies being developed here in Cambridge.

We're back at the Judge Business School on the 29th. Doors open at 6:30, demos start strictly at 7pm.
This evening consists of demos and demos only - PowerPoint is actively discouraged! Each company/project has seven minutes to demo its product and three minutes to answer your questions.

Within one hour you'll see demos from five different teams, both hardware and software, at different stages of development, all developed in Cambridge.

The people/companies demo'ing include:

  • PatientSource, an all-in-one medical records, drug prescribing, test requesting and test result reporting system for hospital inpatients that is completely cross-platform and works on existing hospital computer equipment
  • KeyLines, a visual analysis tool for social, communication and computer networks, with applications in fraud detection, cyber security and military intelligence
  • Skin Analytics, developing a cloud-based service incorporating advanced image processing technology to help people detect skin cancer earlier
  • Knowledge Transmission, creating social learning courses for individuals and providing services to publishers and educational institutions
  • Shaderlight, an interactive rendering software plug-in to SketchUp that lets you create high quality images, quickly and simply

Look forward to seeing you,

Cong, Dimitar & Jed

I wonder if the guys who did the skin condition analysis software were aware that Fujitsu has recently announced a similar product?

I am happy to announce that two emblematic entrepreneurship figures in Cambridge will be special guests of the event. Peter Hiscocks and Simon Stockley will bring a true investor/mentor perspective comments to both the demos and the pitches.

In the interests of connecting you, we have five 30-second slots for lightning pitches.

You can pitch your company if you're after team members, yourself if you want to join a team, or perhaps an event or hackathon you're organising. Reply to this comment if interested.
