What we're about

We are a University of Cambridge society composed of a wide group of students, academics, practitioners, entrepreneurs and specialists.

We want to bring together a Cambridge-based community of curious but critical thinkers to explore and examine the multi-faceted world of cryptocurrencies, blockchains and distributed ledgers.

We hope to create a platform to spark original discussions and coordinate academic and applied inter-disciplinary research in areas such as cryptography, distributed computing, law, economics, politics, sociology, technology and philosophy.

We plan to kick start this initiative by organising a series of events such as informal meetups, lectures, workshops and hackathons, among others.

This initiative is supported by the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, a research centre at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.
