What we're about

A bit of an experiment - this is an attempt to develop knowledge and kalyana mitrata (spiritual friendship) through social gatherings and friendly chats. There is already a great Buddhist Centre in Cambridge, which is perfect for learning to meditate and studying the dharma with a teacher, so there's no need to try and duplicate that... this is more about discussing meditation, discussing the dharma, amongst peers. My hope that it enables the kind of conversation and bonding that you would have on a good retreat. I anticipate having a number of people from the Triratna movement join the group, and the writing of Sangharakshita will constitute much of the discussion matter, but I'm hopeful that it will be of use to all who are following a Buddhist practice or simply interested in meditation.
