Internet of Things Practitioners night

The Internet of Things is much talked about. We want to bring together those who are actually doing stuff. So, this is an event for practical folk.
If you are an inventor, engineer, creator, designer, coder or producer of technology that relates to the Internet of Things this event is for you.
If you want to share your invention, idea or product with like minded practical folk, not with lawyers or accountants, then this event is for you. Everyone who attends should be ready to share something, whether that's a demo or a 30 second presentation, or a thing you've made.
If you are a lawyer, accountant or if you offer professional services, this event is not for you (but if you'd like to sponsor refreshments we would happily display a banner or leaflets in return!)

Springboard will be sponsoring refreshments and is also looking for entrants to SpringboardIoT (http://springboard.com/)

Apologies to Meetup as we are using EventBrite for bookings: http://iotbat.eventbrite.com/

Was great to meet everyone; some fantastic work going on round Cambridge, as usual. I hope some of you will want to contribute to the OpenDCU project. And I'd be **really grateful** to anyone who lets me know it's OK to add their company logo to opendcu.org/sponsors.htm. It will help us persuade government to support the project.

Thank you everyone for coming to a most exhilarating evening. Thank you Stew for making the Hauser forum available, and thank you Jon for the drinks and the pizzas. As Miles pointed out, when the pizzas were delivered, it really did look like a Leaning Tower of Pizzas! BTW, not all attendees were listed on the meetup because we were using Eventbrite as well.

Gr8 session. Venue worked very well. Pity so few attendees were registered - I seem to be short of a few names of people i spoke with. Let's do it again. To solve beer problem we could bring in polypins. Pubs typically not so good for meetups.

Excellent opportunity to meet people and make connections. Demos really helped to get the conversations going.

It would be interesting to see what connections can be made between the different groups that showed up tonight, and form fruitful collaborations.
