The Harvard Law School Food Law Society is thrilled to invite you to their second annual conference, Forum on Food Labeling: Putting the Label on the Table, on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th.
This conference will explore the legal and policy aspects of food labeling and its effects on consumer knowledge, choice, and behavior.
As a part of their mission to foster dialogue and exchange knowledge of emerging issues in food policy and regulation, The Harvard Law School Food Law Society's second annual conference will explore the legal and policy aspects of food labeling and its effects on consumer knowledge, choice, and behavior. Their forum will bring together a host of authorities on food law and policy to raise discussion on a number of pressing questions, including: What should we know about what’s in our food and how it is grown? What considerations should inform these decisions? Are food labels a meaningful tool to encourage better nutrition choices?
Sponsored by the Harvard Food Law Society (with support from Animal Welfare Approved, the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics, Let’s Talk About Food, the Harvard Law School Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, the Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic, the HLS Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and the Environmental Law Society.)
