Along the Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge
Do you struggle with Winter's cold darkness? Do you find it hard to let go and just be in quiet stillness? Do you suffer from low energy and exhaustion?
This December, our Qigong movement to the sound of Tibetan Bowls will mimic the seasonal energy shift from Autumn to Winter, teaching us how to balance the joyful bustle of Christmas by also heeding nature's call and finding stillness and peace within.
Join us to align your personal energy with nature's shift from Autumn's inward-turning into the full contraction of Winter, so you can navigate the year's darkest months with more ease and even discover their great gifts.
By December, animals and plants have wisely stored their resources inside and are preparing to sink into the deep stillness of hibernation or dormancy. For Winter is the nighttime of the annual cycle - the vital counterbalance to the Summer. Indeed, this time of rest, reunion and restoration is what makes Summer's vibrant display possible.
Us humans are not so wise as our fellow beings. Our cultural tendency is to do the very opposite of following nature into stillness. Instead December's holiday season is one of the busiest and most social times in our annual calendar.
But pushing on through the whole Winter with busy activity and shunning nature's call for more stillness and internality has it consequences as the cycle continues to turn. It depletes our precious Kidney energy, leaving us exhausted and increasingly disconnected from the truth of who where are. So we have little energy to shine our gifts into the world as we emerge from Winter back towards Summer.
With Qigong and Tibetan Bowls, we'll feel into an embodied awareness of the restorative goodness of tranquillity, so we can return to that place through the Winter.
Do come to join Tiffany, Nick and Karen for the last session of 2016.
