This is a group for anyone interested in attending lectures in Cambridge and Boston about cosmology, particle physics, astronomy, and anything else I (or you) can find that would be interesting to attend along these lines. I started this group to gather people together who are invested in learning more about the universe. I would like to encourage a wide swath of people to attend including those of us who can barely understand what these lectures are about, but want to learn (me), to those who may be able to explain what we just tried to learn, or anyone in-between. My hope is that members of this group would be interested in discussing the event afterwards at a nearby cafe or pub. In the past two years I’ve attended lectures about CERN, gravity waves, cosmic microwaves, the discovery of new planets, the big bang, dark matter, and more. There’s a lot going on in Cambridge about the cosmos, come and join me!
...as far as I can see. I've not been able to find anything interesting for the next 6-8 weeks. I'll check back in with you if something comes up. Please let me know if you see something out there beyond the void. In the meantime, there is always Astronomy After Hours at the Museum of Science. Public free evening full of astronomy-themed fun on weather-cooperative nights. Between 8:30 and 10:00 pm each Friday.
