Let's go to Ely! (Free meetup but you pay for your own ticket/s and food/drink if we go to a cafe or restaurant etc.)
Get a taste for the unique history of this region (the Fens). Ely really is 'full of charm and beauty and home to one of the most magnificent cathedrals in England' ... and it was built in the middle of watery marsh, rising like a giant ship. For us, it's very easy and quick to get to by train.
We'll meet at Cambridge rail station, get our tickets and go to Ely, do the traditional tourist trail, look around and inside the cathedral, maybe have a coffee somewhere and, if you would like, visit another historic house. Our itinerary will depend on what you (as a group) choose to do, time and the weather.
-Our objective is to discuss what we see in English as we look around. Lots of new, natural phrases (almost) guaranteed!
-The Meetup is free but you need to pay for your own train tickets, food/drink and any ticket entries.
-Learn, clarify, consolidate and ask those burning English questions. Finish the task, visit or event enlightened! ;-)
-Lots of intense error correction and often paper materials to use and take home with you.
Please RSVP on here and we'll meet at Cambridge rail station.
Part of the RealEnglish: Intensive19 course. You don't need to be doing the course to join in the activities but if you'd like to, have a look at the course information: http://www.cambridge1english.com/real-english-intensive-courses/. If you'd like to attend specific classes, days or weeks, book on here or contact me! :-)
-Please note, start and end time may vary according to the activity or trip or weather conditions and you will be notified as soon as possible if things change.
