CODE OF CONDUCT
By joining the group, you are expected to and agree that you:
Participate - We hope to see you at every single one of our events, and hopefully often. Or at least the ones that you really like. If you have an idea for an event or want to help plan something, please let me know. You do not have to attend every event, but if you RSVP yes, please show up.
Drink responsibly - If the event involves alcohol, please drink responsibly. No one wants a DUI, but it is your responsibly to ensure this doesn't happen to you.
Do not flake - Show up when you RSVP "Yes" - It is important for us to have an accurate headcount to reserve space If you have to change your RSVP, that is fine, but try to do it well in advance of the event. If a wait list is posted, please follow it - we don't create them to keep you at home, we have them to accommodate the needs of the venue or event
Be nice and have fun - Be respectful of other members. Some people are shy (even me). Treat everyone with respect and try to introduce yourself to everyone. If you see someone that looks lost or alone, help them out. We are all here to enjoy exciting activities and make some new friends! Remember the first meetup you attended. Put yourself in their shoes and be friendly. I want to make every meetup experience awesome for everyone. Most of our events cater to those 21 and up and we would prefer to only cater to those 21 and up. At some events you may find people under 21. If you are of legal age to drink (21+), this means that you will not share alcoholic beverages to anyone underage at our events and you will not drink and drive
Hiking- The organizers are not professional hikers or trained leaders and are not medically trained to handle emergencies. Please carry a personal medical emergency kit and any medications you need. Hiking is an inherently dangerous activity that can lead to serious injuries including but not limited to slip and fall injuries, fractures, rattlesnake bite, heat exhaustion, poison oak, ticks and frostbite. By participation in any event/hike you agree to not hold these organizers liable for any harm that may come to you, your guests, or your property. Always remember to let the event organizer know if you are leaving the group. Stay on the trail, never hike alone and use your own common sense.
- We will call you a Taxi, or Lyft, Uber if you prefer.
The Organizers, Hosts, and other members are not responsible for your safety- YOU ARE - so please be a responsible adult, drink responsibly, or be safe. Some events involve outdoor activities.
You will not hold the organizers, hosts, or other members responsible for any violation of the law or your actions ( DUI, Assualt, Sexual Assault, Injury, Etc.)
You can be kicked out - You may be asked to leave an event, removed and/or banned from the group, or otherwise disciplined without prior notice as the organizers deem necessary for any negative behavior affecting the group or other members. This can include abusive RSVPing/no-showing, harassing other members, Inappropriate comments/jokes that offend others, violating the law, bringing dangerous items to an event, and otherwise not using common sense.
This also, can include any violation of the above listed requirements and code of conduct.
