Group campgrounds book reservations 12 months in advance. If we are to have access to all the most desirable group campgrounds on the most desirable dates, we need to plan for and pay for our reservations 12 months in advance.

Group campgrounds are those camping trips that we will reserve as a group and pay for with membership dues. There will be additional camping trips that we can add later. First-Come/First-Serve camping and "Make Your Own Reservations" sites book 9 & 6 months in advance of arrival date. We will have a second and final 2015 season planning meeting to cover those camping trips scheduled in October. This first meeting is just for group camping.

Have no more than 1 group campground ready to offer for a group vote. It needs to be a group campground that accommodates both tent and trailer/RV camping. It will not need to offer full- service hookups as we can "dry camp".

Do your homework and be prepared with details of the campground that you will be suggesting to the group. Location, opening and closing season dates, cost/night, maximum number of people and vehicles allowed are essential information that we need to have.. Water and bathroom facilities, shaded/partially-shaded/or open sites, length of driveways, paved or gravel or grass, nearby points of interest and activities are all helpful when choosing the most desirable camping for our group.

f you don't have personal knowledge of the campground that you are suggesting there are many books on Oregon camping that can help. Other resources are http://www.oregon.gov/odrd/parks/ that covers Oregon State Campgrounds and http://www.oregon.com/camping that covers every campground in Oregon that can be reserved through Reserve America.

If you cannot attend this meeting but want to have a voice in the decision, then let someone that is going know your choice and give them your "proxy" so that they may vote for you or e-mail the leadership team and it will be added. Only those group campgrounds that are accompanied by enough essential information that we can make an informed decision will be given serious consideration.

Do not post your "pick" on this site! We need a lot of information from you and it could become too cumbersome very quickly. Instead attend the meeting or send an e-mail to the leadership team.

Please arrive on time. We will start promptly @ 2:30! There may be out of the area members traveling to this meeting that need to make their return trip immediately following.
