Welcome to the Canada Africa Partnerships for AIDS Network meet-up group! We're excited to welcome you to one of our newest initiatives. We believe there is a gap in opportunities for people passionate about sustainable community development locally and abroad to meet, discuss and address these issues together. Whether you're interested in volunteering for CAP/AIDS, want to drop in to a meetup and chat or would like to attend future events, we're happy to have you here.
Interested in volunteering?
Volunteers are central to the work of the CAP/AIDS Network both in Canada and in partner communities in Africa! Our volunteers across Canada help organize local events, champion the cause and raise funds for our work in Africa. We also know that the contributions of people with diverse backgrounds, skill sets and experiences will strengthen our impact and success in fulfilling the CAP/AIDS mission, which is to provide a means of connecting concerned Canadians with working organizations in African communities and to support our common goals through solidarity, mentorship and joint project implementation.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for anyone with a passion for and drive to contribute to an organization supporting grassroots initiatives in Africa. The Volunteer Intro Session is a chance to learn and discuss how we can fulfill the Canadian partnership aspect of CAP/AIDS. If you have communications, planning, research and/or fundraising skills - that's awesome. That said, we're happy to welcome anyone willing to learn and contribute.
