Mailing List and Discussion Board Guidelines - Canadian CPA Network follows Meetup.com's Use of Platform guidelines. In addition, we have our own Community Guidelines that we expect all members to adhere to.
Who We Are Founded in 2016, the Canadian CPA Network (CCN) is the largest Canadian Accounting meet-up group organization representing practicing CPAs, and accounting professionals from all parts of the Accounting community in Canada.
CCN builds programs and partnerships to support the growth and diversification of the Canada’s Accounting industry. CCN also hosts events where members gather to watch emerging accounting firms demo new ideas, hear leading-edge thinking on accounting topics, and build their networks to develop their businesses.
CCN is a Canadian community-led organization supported by its members, who range from practicing Chartered Professional Accountants looking to become the next CFO, to investors in search of the next big thing, to established Partners at some of Canada's top accounting and business advisory firms or students banging out the Tax Act and Handbook in their communities.
The Canadian CPA Network Meetup is the largest Accounting Meetup in Canada that is run by volunteers.
CCN is proudly private run by its members, and is independent from CPA Canada or any provincial CPA bodies.
**FYI with the increasing cost of food and boozes with potential cutoff of some of the discounts CCN enjoys and places starting to charge minimums for groups for example Moxie's (our former venue) started to charge a minimum of $25 per person in 2017, it is getting costly for our founder to flip the bill all by himself.
We have concluded that to provide the level or better of venues, drinks and food that the Meetup has come to expect, we should split the cost burden between sponsors and members.
For the ticket prices, we are going to test $10 and $5 to see which work best for the all-round experience. This would allow us to get additional items plus allow for a change in venues and special events.
We are looking for sponsorhips.**
