Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J K Rowling

We are a book club and it was inevitable that we would get to this at some point.

Some will hate this one, some will love this one, but for better or worse this meeting will cover

Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone by J K Rowling

Hope to see you all there.

Hi I'm new to the group and love reading paper books or kindle ebooks. Last book I read was All That I Am by Helen Funder. Suspenceful and intriguing read. I'll get a copy of Harry Potter and The Philospher's Stone and start reading for the 17/11. Cheers Margaret

Hi everyone. Unfortunately I will be out of town for the weekend. I will book a table on the Friday before with the final numbers we have so just ask for the table under the Canberra Book Club name (and hope they haven't mislaid the booking!). If someone could post the selection of book for the next available meeting. If not one has the book list it will be a free choice.

Sorry about this people, let me know if you have any questions

Hi Tamara. Don't worry, the meeting will still go ahead and with the Harry Potter book. If you go to the venue and ask for the table booked under the name Canberra Book Club you should be able to find everyone. It is a fairly informal and friendly group and you won't be the only new person turning up on the day. There are a couple of regular members on the list who will make you welcome and show you the ropes. I will certainly be at the next one, so hope to catch up with you then

Harry potter is a good series to read if you have seen the movies and read the books in which case i have.

So don't be too put down about it.
