Lake Hennessey offers a peaceful retreat for canoe and kayak enthusiasts. It is surrounded by an abundance of striking scenic views and rolling foothills. It’s the water source for the city of Napa, and a prohibition on large boat motors makes the lake a perfect quiet destination for flat-water kayaking and canoeing. Swimming is not allowed.
Boating/parking fee is $4. Bring ones because there is no way to get change. Toilets available.
Meet at 9:30am, on the water by 10:00am.
Bring lunch, drinks, etc. Something to sit on is nice.
Total distance 6 to 7 miles. This is calm water and good for most kinds of boats. We have often had head winds on the way back to the cars though.
