Napa Yacht Club to Trancas Crossing Park and Back

  • Napa Yacht Club

100 Riverside Dr, Napa, CA 94559, Napa, CA (map)

    38.286915 -122.284554

  • Meet at 9:30am, on the water by 10:00am. The early start is because we want to take advantage of the tide in both directions.

Although the Yacht Club is private, the boat launch is public. There is plenty of parking on the street leading up to the launch. We’ll paddle north past downtown Napa and continue past the Napa Wine Train depot, all the way to Trancas Crossing Park. We'll take a lunch break there. Bring food and drink and something to sit on.

Parking and launch are free. There is a large Porta-Potty at the launch.

Total paddle is about 7 miles.

Are there rentals available nearby? I don't have a boat yet

Four of us paddled to Trancas Park about a month ago and the put-in for lunch is shallow but easy. You can look at pictures of the lunch put-in by going to the previous paddle and viewing the pics we shot.

a word to all about trancas crossing terminus (for lunch). getting in and out f boats at this site is risky at best. I have been there many times, andeach time it has not been easy. Who knows, maybe the city of napa has modified the sight, but I doubt it
Despite the above info, the trip to this site is very worthwhile
