Have you ever wanted to relive the glory days of the San Francisco 49ers from the inside of the locker room? Or go behind the scenes with bands like The Who or The Rolling Stones? Photographer Michael Zagaris has been there, done that. Michael, known as the “Z-man” in San Francisco Bay Area sports circles, has been inside the locker room to capture the moments right after games of thrilling wins and crushing defeats and captured classic images of Joe Montana and Bill Walsh drawing up a play in the dirt. As for rock and roll, be ready to go backstage at the Fillmore Auditorium and the Avalon Ballroom with bands like The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and The Who. Portraits of musicians like Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, Peter Frampton and Eric Clapton also will be shown.

The photographs will show the history of the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco rock and roll era through the camera of Michael Zagaris. But, the best part of the evening will be the stories that will accompany each image, which will have you laughing, crying and in awe of the sports heroes and musicians he has captured throughout his career.

“The payment for me has always been in the doing. I didn’t get into photography for a job,” said Zagaris.
