“On The Screen” is a Canon Burbank screening series, showcasing films produced using Canon equipment. In this installment we will be viewing a 4K projection of the new riveting documentary Unknown Distance. Unknown Distance documents the continued battles soldiers face returning home from combat. Unknown Distance was shot on the EOS C300 Mark II with a selection of Canon lenses. Due to the small crew and run-and-gun style of shooting, Canon’s Dual Pixel Auto-Focus was employed heavily throughout the film. Unknown Distance is an excellent case study showing the power a small, lightweight, single operator camera has in the right hands. A question-and-answer discussion will be held with Director and Cinematographer Gordon Clark and Colorist Loren Simons after the screening.
