I am not a canyon guide and will not be guiding the canyon. I am a canyoneer with a passion for the sport and want to share this with others by organizing and leading trips. You will be required to set up anchors and rigging and are responsible for your safety at all times. I will be there to facilitate, give you tips and provide feedback to help you become a more competent, self reliant canyoneer.

Timebank:

In order to participate in this event you must be signed up through Timebank, a system set-up to exchange services. It uses hours as currency. For every hour that you help meet the needs of another member, you earn an hour. This hour can then be redeemed for services from others, and the never-ending cycle of sharing continues.

Join the CISN TimeBank here: http://cisn.timebanks.org/, once your membership is approved, go to "Give and Receive" > "Record an Exchange" and give 2 hours (TimeBank Credits) to user “360nomad” for "Canyoneering" > "Events". Doesn't matter if you don't have hours in your account yet. You can use the 2 hours on credit and then earn hours in the future by serving your community. Service could be canyoneering related -- organizing practice sessions, leading trips, etc. -- or it could be volunteering for a local food bank, youth group, senior citizen center, etc. You can also earn hours providing services such as computer programming, carpentry, plumbing, child care, etc. to other TimeBank members.

Paul & Gerardo, you are now added to the timebank site. Please take a moment and record the hours transfer before the morning. Thanks. Frank & David, are either of you still planning on attending?

Alwin--came down with the chest cold from hell today! Can't talk or breathe very well. I MIGHT be able to rap down the canyon but probably would have a hard time hiking to the TOP! Sorry I have to bail. Is a great canyon!

Hi everyone. Looks like the timebank link wasn't working. I've updated it and here it is again: http://cisn.timebanks.org/

This is a great canyon for natural anchors, so if there is interest we can also practice rigging and using them to rappel (cleaned by the last person).
