National Capital Area Clojure Users Group April Meetup

  • Apr 22, 2010 · 6:00 PM
  • FGM

The meeting will be held at the company FGM in Reston.

Presentations:

Introduction to Conjure

Speaker: Matt Courtney

This is a beginner's introduction to Conjure by its creator Matt Courtney. Conjure is a full stack web framework which means Conjure includes everything for a database backed web server: templating language, persistence library, migrations, and glue to connect it all.

My plan is to introduce you to some of the concepts of Conjure and guide you through building a simple application.

Open Discussion

We'll open the floor to all questions about Clojure and Clojure libraries. If you have a question, bring it to this meeting, someone in the group is bound to have an answer.

Enjoyed the open discussion between the presentations as much as the presentations themselves (which were very good). Thanks again to Matt, Gray, and Russ for organizing.

Thanks a bunch to Brian Weber for putting together a talk on labrepl at the last minute. Thanks also to Matt for both his talk and Conjure. And thanks to David Liebke for the pizza!

Great introduction to the Conjure web framework by its creator, Matt Courtney, a nice overview of the labrepl project by Brian Weber, and some excellent general discussion on Clojure.
