You are invited to a panel discussion on ethics in user-experience research and design. Professionals from government, not-for-profit, academic, and private sectors have been invited to discuss ethics from their perspective. Each guest will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves, after which they will participate in a moderated discussion. To follow will be an open question period and networking.

With almost twenty years of experience in User Experience Design, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, from large institutions, to medium-sized companies in highly-technical domains, to small start-ups. I have also had the opportunity to work closely with technology partners to understand their business and product requirements, and have created designs to meet their needs, as well as the needs of their customers.

Chantal’s experience reflects her appreciation for the role of industrial design within interdisciplinary teams and working with other professions to achieve a comprehensive understanding of people, processes and their context. For over 10 years, she has worked within the field of architecture and interior design, exploring the use, planning and design of spaces and products within complex building systems.

Her portfolio includes driving digital transformation of the stakeholder experience from employees, partners and quality surveyors, to health service providers and patients around the world.

Excellent communicator who prides himself on the quality and clarity of product-customer interactions with additional background in cognitive psychology. Valuable experience as a part of a multi-disciplinary team implementing concept development, prototyping and testing to create high fidelity mock ups. Coordinates the Human-Centred Design program at Algonquin College. He has been developing user-experience for products and services for the past twenty years, and his research has examined sustainable development in design school curricula, as well as human factors for augmented and virtual reality systems.
