Using Modular Scripts to Perform SQL Compliance Audits in Seconds

Security audits such as PCI, STIG, or HIPAA, are important and can be complicated. Depending on the requirements it can take considerable time to gather the information needed.

In this session, we will go over some scripts that are used for compliance audits that make it easy to collect the information required. Even when there are multiple SQL Servers, these scripts and processes can quickly and easily identify where to focus efforts to ensure compliance. Through heavy demonstration and discussion, you will leave with a better equipped to understand and obtain compliance within your SQL Server environment.

About Chris Bell:

Chris Bell founded WaterOx Consulting and the Concierge DBA® Concept in 2012.

Prior to establishing WaterOx, he spent over 18 years in various roles in public and private companies working with their data in various forms. Mr. Bell is a current member of PASS, DAMA International and Toastmasters International. He was a finalist for the 2012 Exceptional DBA of the year award & is co-ordinated and hosted the Washington D.C. PASS SQL Saturday event on Dec 8th, 2012. He also is an active presenter to SQLPASS user groups and is working on presenting important data concepts to more diverse industry leaders.

Our meeting schedule is usually as follows:
5:30 PM Food, soft drinks and networking
6:15 PM Chapter news and announcements
6:20 PM Presentation (topic changes monthly)
We usually wrap up between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM.
