What we're about
This is a group of adults that meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons for conversation while practicing handcrafts (knitting, crocheting, embroidering, cross-stitching, hand-sewing, drawing, coloring, etc) in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Springfield's foremost cultural institution: the Illinois State Museum.
Bring a personal project to work on (one is not provided) and museum admission is required. Regular attendees are encouraged to join the Illinois State Museum Society for a year of free admission to this and other events and exhibitions. We share ideas, our latest projects, tips & tricks, and get help when stuck. All ages (18+) and skill levels welcome!
There may also be meetups created to go to local needlework guild meetings or other art or craft fairs. (Note: if you wish to sell patterns, classes, tools, or finished handmade objects, please contact the organizer before marketing to group members.)
