What do paddlers do in the Northeast in winter? Go to Florida, or go to the pool! If you're not headed south, spending some time in the pool with your kayak is a great way to practice skills and get ready for spring paddling.
There will be no formal instruction, but once again this year, Bill Lozano, co-owner of Atlantic Kayak Tours, has generously offered to be there to help folks out with rescues, rolling, bracing, wet exits...whatever you want to work on. Bring your own kayak and gear, and make sure it's absolutely clean. PFD required. Participants will also need to sign a liability waiver for each session.
$25 per session, payable in advance, by check. Reserve early to hold your spot, as space is limited.
Advanced reservations required. Sorry, no walk-ins, no exceptions. You must email me, Robin Read, at poolpaddler "at" gmail "dot" com, to reserve your spot. I'll get back to you with further info.
