Join me and some of our other Capital District Volunteers and become a Red Cross Volunteer!

While recruitment for most opportunities is ongoing, there is a particular need for receptionists, local and national disaster relief personnel and blood drive staffing through the local office on Everett Road. Go to the following link for a list of possible positions that you might like to train for.

Volunteer with the American Red Cross

The American Red Cross Northeastern New York Region helps people in emergencies every day. Volunteers are involved in every aspect of the Red Cross mission and constitute 96 percent of our workforce! Our vital work is made possible by people just like you who want to make a difference in the community. The American Red Cross needs you!

As a volunteer at any of our Northeast New York Regional Chapters, you could:

Provide a family displaced by a house fire in the middle of the night with a safe place to sleep Set up a shelter and serve meals to disaster victims Support our Service to Armed Forces as a volunteer at Veterans Administration Hospitals Teach people how to save lives with first aid and CPR training, babysitter’s training, and lifeguard training Welcome and host donors at a local blood drive Become a Hero of the American Red Cross by raising money Help in our office to keep our daily business running smoothly And more! Volunteers aged 15 - 17 are encouraged to become part of our Youth Program, which offers meaningful opportunities for education, training and community service.
