Last year, I volunteered at the Tour de Cure but this year I am going to ride 10 miles AND volunteer! I have only ridden a bike 10 miles twice in the last year and it wasn't easy for me but I will gladly do it for the cause!
I will ride because I am proud to do my part to Stop Diabetes. I decided to start a team...BEANER'S BEANS... as my contribution to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes.
I am committed to ride and raise money in this inspirational event not because 26 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because we all personally know some of them, and want to do something about it.
I AM A DIABETIC! So now YOU know someone with it.
If you can't join us, support us!
By making a donation or joining my/our team, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.
Follow the link below and enter my team's name...BEANER'S BEANS and then you can choose to join the team or make a donation.
We are determined to reach our team goal, one rider at a time. So let's get in gear and ride to Stop Diabetes!
There is also another meetup to volunteer for the event. I will be volunteering after I get off my bike! Thank-you all!
My bike is being tuned up. won't be ready until Sat. morn at 9 in Freeman's Bridge bike Shop, Scotia. I will miss my Weight watcher's meeting and forego my grandson's Flag football game. Still not sure bike will be ready since I had to haggle with the repair guy to move my bike ahead of others already there. Hope to get there by 10 via Rte 50.
