For anyone interested: 11 miles in 3:58, 2251 ft elevation gain, fastest mile 16:32. Not a bad morning's accomplishment. Hope to see you all again. It was a pleasure.

Hi Guys! Is it OK to bring 1 guest? My husband was about to RSVP but now there are no spots left. Thanks!
I'm out for a bit. Foot surgery on Thursday. Currently the foot wouldn't be able to sustain that mileage. Arrrgghhh but after recovery I should finally be able to hike pain free!
where are you meeting and when are wait list people notified???
Any one going from San Jose ? We could carpool.

Interested in three to five-mile hikes, too.

This group normally does not do anything less than 10 miles.
Probably won't work.

Veronica, do you think (judging from previous hikes) that I would be able to make this one? Sigh. I just want to be sure before RSVP'ing.

I think you can do it. It is not easy, but not the most difficult. There is an alternate route you can take towards the end. Instead of taking the upper route out, you can follow the creek out. It makes it shorter and easier. You can make the decision at the intersection.
