"Friends with benefits: how to integrate your SEO and PPC for better results"

Gus Pelogia, Wolfgang Digital (https://www.wolfgangdigital.com/)

PPC and SEO teams sometimes knock heads or don't converse as much as they should. In this talk, you'll learn how to connect data from both sources to mutually benefit your digital marketing strategy, including:

- How much you would be paying if organic traffic wasn't free
- Where you can optimise your PPC spend due to strong SEO coverage
- Breaking down branded vs non-branded traffic
- How to identify keywords with weak SEO coverage but high PPC conversions
- Combining your CTR to discover brand coverage

From the organiser: Gus is an informative, engaging and fun speaker - we're delighted to have him speak at Cardiff SEO Meet. He's making the trip all the way from Dublin, and I know you'll all give him a warm Welsh welcome!

"Discovering and Engaging Audiences through Voice"

Siobhan Congreve & Michael Gearon, BrandContent (https://brandcontent.co.uk/)

People are increasingly using voice to discover businesses and engage with them on a day-to-day basis. More than a fifth of UK adults use voice search several times a day, our research has shown, and this figure is set to grow rapidly in the next few years. But what is this new channel and how can you make the most of it?

In this double-header talk, you'll learn how to leverage voice search from Siobhan and then Mike will talk through how to use voice assistants apps to engage your audience in new and exciting ways. By the end of the session, you'll walk away with an understanding of the voice channel and the opportunities it presents.

This talk is designed to give you real solutions, so come armed with questions!

From the organiser: A joint talk! Mike & Siobhan's boss (Sharon) gave a talk at one of our 2017 events all about Google Home optimisation, so I'm excited to see what the BrandContent have in store for us on the subject of voice search this time...

LIVE SITE REVIEW

As usual, we will be analysing and auditing a volunteered website live on the night! We have our willing volunteer lined up - a few days beforehand we'll announce who it is so that you can research them beforehand if you like. SISTRIX (https://www.sistrix.com/) is our site review sponsor, so we'll be using their toolset to help us analyse the volunteered site and find some 'quick wins'!

FREE FOOD & DRINK

10 Feet Tall will be providing us with some yummy buffet food, while there'll also be a drink voucher for every attendee. If you have any dietary requirements beyond vegetarian then please let us know ASAP, ideally no later than the Monday beforehand at the latest. You can message us (via Meetup) or drop a comment below.

Once again a big thank you to our sponsors, who cover the cost of the free food & drink:

SISTRIX WORKSHOP(?)

I believe SISTRIX are planning on running one of their workshops during the day ahead of the meetup, possibly at the same venue (or at a venue nearby). If it goes ahead, all the info you need should appear on here: https://www.sistrix.com/seminar/toolbox/cardiff/
