We design, build, and maintain hiking trails mostly in the west highlands of New Hampshire, from Mt Cardigan to Mt Sunapee and beyond. We clean drains, chop blowdowns, cut back brush, and paint blazes. We also build many waterbars, steps, revetting, signs, and bridges up to 30' long. We teach those skills to others in the community. We are out twice a month or more, and we welcome willing workers over 18; three days' work in one season and you become a Cardigan Highlander. We also hike for fun, camp, and enjoy the company of fellow hikers. Trailwork is April-October here, but the fun is all year.
