Shira and John did a tremendous job providing us with an inside view of how recruiters use LinkedIn and how imperative it is for us to adapt our search approach to the changing landscape of today's recruiting environment. It was motivational, beginning with the recognition that we have a brand, and intensely practical, with specific techniques and suggestions for how we could make our presence/branding more effective. They showed us how Recruiters use LinkedIn database functions to find candidates, and how we can use those same tools to our advantage. Beyond that, Robert and the volunteers at BJSP provide a very professional environment to learn, network, and develop the necessary skills for an effective job search. Outstanding!

This event helped me feel much more comfortable that I was harnessing the power of LinkedIn. I especially liked having the opportunity to ask the burning questions about LinkedIn that I have had.

What an excellent, high-energy start to a grey morning. Both John and Shira are immersed in the best tactics to use when employing LinkedIn as a job search tool. I'm eager to use these methods NOW to get a new position as a development director. The networking exercise was really useful -- three people could help me and I found two people I could make connections for to help in their searches.

The unknown precip and driving this morning is my issue. Maybe Shira and John would consider returning for this topic since this is vital information?
