How to Transcend America’s Culture War with Steve McIntosh, J.D.

How to Transcend America’s Culture War with Post-Progressive Cultural Intelligence with Steve McIntosh, J.D. Live broadcast on Zoom DATE: Friday, January 22 TIME: 5:30pm – 7:30pm MST Register on this link to attend: https://www.caritascenter.org/how-to-transcend-americas-culture-war-with-post-progressive-cultural-intelligence-with-steve-mcintosh-j-d-january-22.html Integral political philosopher Steve McIntosh will discuss his recent book: Developmental Politics—How America Can Grow Into a Better Version of Itself. Developmental Politics comes from the work of the Institute for Cultural Evolution think tank, which is now pursuing an organization-wide initiative entitled “The Post-Progressive Project.” This initiative advances an inclusive new political perspective founded on “cultural intelligence,” which can help reconcile America’s stark political divide and bring peace to the culture war. The Post-Progressive Project seeks to build a constituency among leaders and members of the American public who are concerned about progressivism’s emerging pathologies. Post-progressivism, however, is not anti-progressive. Rather, it seeks to demonstrate what comes after progressivism, both culturally and politically. “Cultural intelligence” is the ability to recognize the mutual interdependence of America’s three major worldviews: traditionalism, modernism, and progressivism. This comprehensive overview perspective sees how the positive values and enduring accomplishments of all three of these distinct value frames form a kind of symbiotic cultural ecosystem wherein each worldview has an ongoing role to play. Cultural intelligence provides the ability to integrate and harmonize these three distinct sets of values. caritascenter.org #stevemcintosh #postprogressiveculturalintelligence #developmentalpolitics #culturalintelligence #postprogressiveproject #instituteforculturalevolution #americasculturewar #consciousness #spirituality #caritasconsciousnessproject #awakening #spiritualawakening #mentalhealth #spirit #wellness #onlinelecture

The Change Code with Monica Bourgeau, M.S.

Online event

Live Broadcast on Zoom Date: Friday, February 26 Time: 5:30-7:30pm MST Register on this link to attend: https://lnkd.in/gC3q9pB You have big dreams and yearn to live a purposeful life, but it’s hard to stay inspired in today’s chaotic and polarized world. The headlines make you want to bury your head under the covers and question your faith in humanity. Climate change, immigration, healthcare – how are we supposed to address the world’s biggest problems when we can’t even talk to each other? There is hope, however, because we’re in the midst of a major shift in consciousness. You may have sensed this change. You may have a strong feeling that you’re called to do something more, to live a higher purpose. In this discussion, author Monica Bourgeau will explain concepts from her book, The Change Code, and show us how we can use them to more smoothly transition from these feelings of fear, powerlessness, and disconnection into a more self-aware society that understands, accounts for, and even benefits from our differences. Just like humanity’s transition from a hunter/gatherer to farmer, and again from an agrarian society to an industrial one, we will now inevitably transition into a new era. But how we do it is our choice. We can stand by while the world falls deeper into a trough of chaos and confusion, hoping things eventually work out. Or, we can actively co-create a society with higher levels of consciousness, with sustainable systems; connected resilient communities; communication and collaboration; and new coping skills and tools to face the challenges of tomorrow. The future depends on how we choose to respond today.
