Let's catch the high elevations and enjoy the spectacular views. No beginners please! If we have not hiked together, we need to talk before the hike, to make sure this is a good fit. If we don't chat beforehand, I cannot allow you on the hike. This applies to your guests too. :) Thanks.
Hike Description: Out and Back; Length: 11.0 miles; Elevation Gain: 2,800 ft.
Pace: Moderate, average 2 mph
Travel Distance: Approximately 2 hours
Time out on the Trail: Approximately 6 hours
Cost: Carpool gas and Dinner Afterwards
1. Start at 19E, Hike 5.5 miles out on the Appalachian Trail to the Summit.
2. Hike back from the Summit to 19E.
Dinner afterwards on the way back home.
1. Please bring extra layers plus rain gear as you never know what it will be like at the higher elevations. Please also bring the usual minimum 2 liters of water, snacks and lunch.
2. All day event; please don't sign up if you have Saturday evening plans.
3. No dogs please.
