What we're about

Do you appreciate, or are you interested in, the art of film-making? Is winding down at the end of the day by watching an old picture an activity you do, or think you would be interested in? If so, come out to the Cary Classic Film Group, and enjoy old films with the company of others who share the same interest. We'll watch movies of all different genres that range from the 1920s to the 1970s.

To help cover the cost of this group being on meetup.com, a donation of at least $2 at each gathering is appreciated. Joshua will have coffee, hot tea, and a few munchies, and members can bring food to share as well, if they wish. Please post what you will bring so there are no duplicates. The address will be sent out to all attendees the week of the meetup.

Etiquette Policy:

If there is a film on the calendar that you are interested in seeing, be certain it is being shown at a time that fits your schedule so that you don't have to remove your name from the RSVP list later on. It's helpful for the host to know ahead of time how many are attending to help them plan the evening and make sure there are an appropriate amount of refreshments. This is also a consideration to those on the wait list; we want to make sure we’re giving those people enough time to plan to attend. Should an emergency arise last minute and you absolutely need to remove your name from the RSVP list the day of the screening, please send the host a quick message to let them know what's happened. "No-shows" or those with several cancellations on the day of the event without a reason may be removed from membership. Thanks for your cooperation with this.
