Our Purpose

To facilitate the common sense use and enjoyment of horses and mules in America's Backcountry and public lands.

To perpetuate a Family Oriented Trail Riding Club where members stay a lifetime.

The Backcountry Horsemen of Washington has 3,500 members in 34 Chapters. If you ride horses on trails, you need to protect your right to access and ride on public lands. As the population grows in the State of Washington, over use, environmental issues, and competing demands upon road and facility maintenance dollars continues to reduce the number of places you can ride.

Be Pro-Active and Ensure your Access to Trails!
