Discussion for "A Scene through a Window"

Lake Hills Library

This assignment is about taking pictures through windows. Any subject matter or technique is acceptable, but it must be obvious that each image was shot through a window. Bring up to four images, as jpg files on a flash drive, to view and discuss. We are limited to only 12 participants, so please don't forget: If after accepting you find you cannot attend the Meetup, please UN-RSVP so others on the waiting list can attend. And if you find yourself on the waiting list, be prepared with photos to attend! Thanks for your cooperation.

Technique and Post Processing 99 - Process an Image to Change its Mood

This is a repeat from July, 2018. This assignment is strictly about Post Processing. You might have an image where a scene could go from warm and inviting to dark and scary, or drab and cold to bright and festive. Think of completely or selectively applying filters to brighten, darken, contrast, blur, or fog. Think old photos with sepia, grain and vignette. There are many possibilities. Consider using multiple techniques on a photo. Bring up to four sets of before and after images, as jpg files on a flash drive, to view and discuss. We are limited to only 12 participants, so please don't forget: If after accepting you find you cannot attend the Meetup, please UN-RSVP so others on the waiting list can attend. And if you find yourself on the waiting list, be prepared with photos to attend! Thanks for your cooperation.

Discussion for "Night Photography"

Redmond Library Room 2

This assignment is about taking night scene pictures. This is down-to-earth photography; it's not about taking lunar, planetary, or astrophotography pictures. Think about lit streets scenes, evening cityscapes, streaked vehicle lights, interesting ambient or artificial lighting, fireworks, or anything else you can come up with. Your images do not need to show darkness or the night sky, but it should be obvious that they were taken after dark. Remember, if slow shutter speeds, don't forget the tripod.

Technique and Post Processing 100 - Photographer's Choice, Before and After

This is a post processing assignment, so images from any time or source are acceptable; no restrictions or guidelines. Any post processing techniques are valid. Be sure to bring your before images so we can see what the pictures looked like before you started post processing. Be prepared to share and discuss your techniques.
