If your lifetime reading list includes lots of classic works by Catholic authors, and you enjoy lively but respectful book discussions, then this group is for you. We'll read both fiction and non-fiction works by Catholic authors (or of interest to Catholic readers), with a focus on classic works that tackle spiritual themes. You don't need to be Catholic to join-- everyone is welcome, as long as they treat other group members with kindness and courtesy.
For our first Zoom book discussion, we'll be reading the Imitation of Christ by Thomas à Kempis. It's one of the great Christian spiritual classics, written in the 15th century as a handbook for a rich spiritual life. I'm guessing that many of you have previously read it but please feel free to join us for the discussion whether you read it a long time ago or are just now reading it for the first time. Zoom info will be sent to attendees via direct Meetup message after they RSVP.
