Why would you like to join CC?

Hi! I live in Reading and enjoy reading books and talking about them so I thought this seemed like the perfect place for me. It would also nice to meet

Who are your two favourite authors and why do you like them?

Albert Camus - I find he really manages to convey the absurd and surreal nature of humanity his books. I find I return to them again and again Gustave Flaubert - His use of language manages to enliven the most ordinary setting with colour and vibrance. His descriptions of 1840's Paris in "Sentimental Education" are wonderous

Please suggest three novels or short story collections you would like to discuss in future meetings. Include the author's name.

Slaughterhouse 5 - Kurt Vonnegut The master and margarita - Mikhail Bulgakov Saturday Night and Sunday Morning - Alan Sillitoe

Hi. I'm David. I live in Reading and am studying for a PhD at the university. I enjoy books so I'm looking forward to meeting some friendly people who also love reading.
