Atlanta Symphony Hall to Hear
Violinist Augustin Hadelich With the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Rising star Augustin Hadelich takes on Paganini's challenging Violin Concerto No. 1, as guest soloist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor James Feddeck. This eclectic evening of music also includes Edward Elgar's beautifully mysterious musical puzzle, Enigma Variations, each section composed as a tribute to one of the composer's close circle of friends. Though he's not yet reached the age of 30, Hadelich's joined the ranks of the elite violinists through his acclaimed debut with the New York Philharmonic, and subsequent performances with major U.S. orchestras and at prestigious festivals including Aspen, Chautauqua and Tanglewood. A multi-award winner, he's also known for his "fast-fingered brilliance" (The New Yorker), as well as his determination to play again after he was severely burned in a 1999 accident. He's already released six CDs, including his latest, featuring the concertos of Sibelius and Ades, due to drop in 2014.
Tickets are normally $29.50 But Through CA they are only $19
