Mary - Falcons - Jingle Mingle - New Years Eve

Dear Celebrate Atlanta Members:

I have a few items I wanted to bring up.  First and foremost, one of our members, Mary had emergency surgery this morning at Emory.  I want to wish Mary a speedy and full recovery.  If you wish to send a message to Mary, you can e-mail her through meetup at:

I also want to thank David Nunnally for getting Mary to the hospital, staying with her and keeping me informed of her progress.  We celebrated David's birthday on Saturday and a crowd of 177 turned out for his party at Craze. Of course, David begged me to stop with the "so old" jokes.  Therefore, being a contrarian, here are a couple more for good measure.  Dave is so old that when the police asked for his ID, he gave them a rock with carvings.  Dave's so old he called the cops when David and Goliath started to fight. Dave's so old that so old the key on Ben Franklin's kite was to Dave's house. Dave's so old that when he was born, the Dead Sea was just getting sick. Dave's so old that Adam and Eve autographed his high school yearbook. Okay, enough nonsense.

Football Games:

The Saints beat the Falcon's yesterday and I still have tickets to the rematch on November 29.  If you want to attend the game, please sign up ASAP.  Sorry but all 94 ticket to the Giant's game are sold.

New Years Eve:

We currently have two parties planned and I will post them soon.  One will cost $20 and includes dancing, party favors, champagne toast and breakfast. We will also provide drink/food discounts and offer a three course dinner (optional). We are finishing the hotel details and will offer rooms at a discount.  The other party will likely not cost anything but you will be requested to bring a food item and wine/champagne to share.  Both will have dancing.  The hotel will likely be located between both parties which incidentally are located close to each other.

Payment for events:

Celebrate Atlanta now has the ability to accept payments at events.  Therefore, if you are at an event and want to pay for the Jingle Mingle, New Years Eve, sporting events, etc., we can take payment via credit/debit card and you will receive an instant receipt via text or e-mail.

Again, speedy recovery to Mary and please send her well wishes.

Dave G
