What we're about

Have fun with other gluten-free people! This group is for everyone who wants the freedom to dine and socialize without explanations.

I have celiac disease and started this group after meeting another woman with CD who wouldn't order gluten-free food because she didn't want to be "one of those people". (Like me!) It touched me that social pressures were interfering with her need to make safe choices.

This group is about being your gluten-free self. When we meet, each person can take the precautions they feel are necessary to manage their health without judgement.

Are you in (or near) Somerset, Middlesex, or Union counties? Let's get together for fun, food, and activities while exchanging ideas on living gluten-free.

Celebrate Irish Heritage Week With Us at Hailey's Harp & Pub

Join us for a craic (good time) as we enjoy the spirit of St. Patrick's Day earlier in the week, when the kitchen isn't stressed by holiday revelers and can pay attention to our special dietary needs. Our reservation is for 6:45 so that we can order before the live entertainment begins. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. Hailey's was the first place I successfully dined after being diagnosed with CD and I'm looking forward to sharing the evening with my gluten-free friends. Our group has met here twice in the past and the management and staff are both knowledgeable and considerate about our special dietary needs. I've posted a photo of the current menu so that you can see their gluten free options. (Please note: Hailey's Harp is not a dedicated gluten-free restaurant. Products containing gluten are prepared in their kitchen.)
