Join us for practical information and support for using cannabis in our lives for overall health and specific medical needs. I am a retired RN who continues to live with severe pain. My goal is to create an environment for learning and support that is full of reputable resources that inspire each of us to further explore for our individual needs. Please feel free to send specific questions, topics or speaker suggestions. Keep in mind that the subject is thousands of years old but new to our contemporary science. This group will be dynamic since we do not have a specific template other than to expect and embrace evolution. Thank you for your interest. I am hopeful for the future — at least with cannabis. We meet every 4th Tuesday. Free. Schedule of Topics: March 26th—THC & CBD April 23rd—Choosing the Right Strain May 28th—Ways to Use MMJ June 25th—MMJ Law & Safety July 23rd—Costs and Budgeting August 27th—MMJ, Fear and Stigma Please check mindfuluse.org for last-minute schedule changes. RSVP on this page if you'd like to receive automatic updates. _____ Unless otherwise noted, events sponsored by the Center for Mindful Use are “Canna-friendly,” that is that our instructors neither encourage nor discourage cannabis use, but encourage guests to show up as they are. Please note, however, that the use of cannabis while on CMU property is not currently permitted.
We gather every Tuesday night in downtown Bellingham for an inviting community event of free-form movement! Ages 18 and up. All bodies, abilities and diverse experiences welcome. Leave shoes & conversation at the door. Move however you wish! Conscious Free-form Dance is free-form movement to great music; movement that feels right in the moment rather than dancing to ‘look good’; dancing like you might in your living room alone but with other people doing the same; a mood-boosting cardio workout. It relieves stress, and it’s meditative. (Here's a good, short video if you're new to conscious dance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5st-JANR7x0) Join us in releasing and rejoicing, moving our bodies, listening deeply and gently, being with yourself inwardly as well as dancing in community in a safe and sacred space. Much healing can happen when we listen to the wisdom of our bodies and allow those stuck places in us to loosen and let go and move through us and out. Absolutely no experience in dance needed. Many first time dancers report finding a new sense of freedom or movement in this safe and accepting dance environment. Wear comfy clothes, bring a water bottle and a hand towel if you tend to sweat a lot when you dance hard. Free. Inspired Love Donations gratefully accepted at the door. (Suggested $10.) Drop-ins welcome, as space permits. Doors open at 7:15 for warmup. Dance facilitated by Moraya Morningstar Please check mindfuluse.org for schedule changes. RSVP on this page if you'd like to receive an automatic update. ____________________ Unless otherwise noted, events sponsored by the Center for Mindful Use are “Canna-friendly,” that is that our instructors neither encourage nor discourage cannabis use, but encourage guests to show up as they are, being fully responsible for themselves. Doors will be locked soon after our practice begins to minimize disturbance. Drop-ins welcome. The class is free with inspired love donations gratefully accepted. ($10 suggestion.) Meets every Wednesday. Please check mindfuluse.org for schedule changes. RSVP if you'd like to receive an automatic update. Guided by Tim Walker. "Since August 2012 I have been cultivating deeply devoted yoga and meditation practices. A Teacher Training Program soon followed as a way to unlock more doors to Self realization and Love. Yoga and Ayurvedic health continue to gift me ever expanding and amazing tools to work with on Life's path. In offering Yoga to our community, I enjoy instructing all ages and levels, with most emphasis on Alignment based, Gentle Flow and Restorative classes. My intention is to show up with authenticity in every moment, allowing space for others to Behold just who they are."
