Raspberry Pi Jam: Scripting and Programming Fiesta

To start off this April's Raspberry Jam, we will have a guest presenter, Nathan Selikoff, an artist and programmer, designer and developer. Nathan will be showing a documentary on Processing in the ongoing effort to promote the new Processing Orlando meetup group:

After the showing Nathan will be hanging out to experiment with us with various languages (Pure Data, perhaps Processing if we can get a build to work, etc.) on the RP. We will experiment and compare the performance between various methods. Bring examples to share if you have any.

Processing is here:

We'll be running these apps on other platforms as well for demonstration and comparison.

Notes: I have a Raspian image that runs PD that we can play with.

I'll try to have a solid build with Processing running on Raspbian.

I have R installed as well but no time to jack into it. Let's see what these languages can do! There is a Big data meetup group that knows R very well. If you don't know what R is ask us at this meet up...

Bring examples, bring questions...

Nathan is a fantastic presenter with deep understanding of Processing. He hosted the presentation of the documentary "hello world" and followed through with an engaging conversation about creative coding. Be sure to check out his new group Processing Orlando!

The Meetup for this Friday's CFRPUG has been moved to Full Sail University. We will meet in the main Auditorium located in bld 3 close to Millers Ale House. From University Blvd, turn south onto University Park Drive. Proceed past the Alehouse, over the large speed bump and proceed straight into the parking lot. The auditorium is in Bld 3 B. 3B has a 2 story curved glass front entrance with bamboo inside as a landmark.
