With a focus on newer investors, this month we will review basic terminology, common niches, and discuss concrete steps to getting started in real estate investing.
This will be a more casual meeting where no previous real estate investing (REI) knowledge is expected. We will begin with a brief overview of some of the more common and frequently used terms and abbreviations such as LTV and ARV. The intention here is to make sure that our newer members do not feel left out or overlooked.
We will then take a little time to review some of the more common REI niches. We will not go into details here, but instead provide a basic gist of each. Future meetings will provide the opportunity to go into greater depth and understanding of individual niches. Finally, we will dedicate most of our time towards having a discussion about how to get moving forward. While theory and concepts are important, coming up with concrete and specific steps that you can take is essential towards making your REI career a reality.
For the time being we are holding our regularly scheduled monthly meetings at the Perkins in Eatontown, located at 158 Route 35 South. Click here for more information about the location.
• Food is available to anyone interested in ordering, however there is no requirement to do so. You are welcome to order as much or as little as you'd like. Perkins offers a dinner menu if you're so inclined or a bakery and dessert menu if you prefer.
• As always, all are welcome to attend. There are no prerequisites, experience, or membership requirements.
• The organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the meeting in the event of low expected turnout, bad weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
**DON'T FORGET THAT WE WILL NOT BE MEETING ON THE LAST THURSDAY IN NOVEMBER OR DECEMBER BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAYS. THIS MEETING WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF THOSE TWO.**
