The Committee of the Central London Humanist Group ("CLHG") would like to welcome all members and supporters to the Brockway Room at Conway Hall for our Annual General Meeting ("AGM") on Wednesday 16th January 2019.
We will review progress over the last year, discuss future plans, and select the new Committee for 2019. Once that official AGM business is over, there will be plenty of time for socialising (complimentary wine and cheese provided).
Please follow this link (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/10g0s5qgPwntutWrOSLt-SzDv4l5geu0b?usp=sharing), to access the following documents relevant to the AGM, which will be uploaded there in due course:
— Agenda for 2019 AGM
— Minutes of 2018 AGM
— Nominations for Committee Positions (available 3rd Jan)
— Membership Report (available early-Jan)
— International Report (available early-Jan)
— Annual Report (including Chair's Review and Treasurer's audited accounts) (available early-Jan)
— Online Analytics Report (available early-Jan)
— CLHG Constitution
Voting members of CLHG (people who are registered as full members of CLHG and are paid-up members of Humanists UK — "HUK") will be able to vote on resolutions and are eligible for election to the Committee. Please bring your HUK membership details with you to the meeting.
Non-voting members and supporters are also very welcome to attend the AGM and contribute to our discussions.
Nominations for Committee positions have to be submitted to the Secretary ([masked]) at least 14 days before the AGM (i.e no later than 2nd January 2019). Each nomination needs to be proposed and seconded by voting members of CLHG. Brief candidacy statements can also be included along with the nominations.
We would very much encourage people to consider becoming voting members:
— If you are already a HUK member and wish to register as a full member of CLHG (no membership fee) please go to: http://eepurl.com/u0jQr
— If you wish to join HUK and support its work to promote humanism in British life, please go to its website: https://humanism.org.uk/join
We also welcome people's contribution in other ways, particularly in helping to manage our events. The more hands and minds involved, the more we can do. So please get in touch if you feel you could help the group.
Events are advertised on multiple online portals and through email, so RSVP numbers on any one portal may not be fully indicative of the greater attendance on the day.
We encourage dialogue, debate, and sharing of information, but ask people to keep their comments cordial. Any individual's views expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views of the group at large.
