Important Details

You MUST follow the instructions below to add yourself to our group.

Greetings from Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake!

We are very excited that you will be volunteering with us on June 19th in Brooklyn, Baltimore, MD.

In order to have a safe, fun, and productive day on the worksite, there are a few more steps for you and your group to complete before the day on site. Volunteers are the backbone of the entire organization. Everyone from the homeowners to the Construction Supervisors rely on your presence. As we are serious in our mission to end poverty housing, we ask that everyone signing up be equally serious in their commitment to a good day?s work.

There are two steps every for every volunteer in your group:

1.)If he/she hasn?t already done so, create a user account on VolunteerHub. Be prepared with personal and emergency information and

2.) Sign up for the June 19th build day. Every member must sign up on VolunteerHub no later than two weeks before the build date. Spots may be opened to other individuals if the group cannot fill them.

VolunteerHub is an online management program that is hugely beneficial for both for you and for the HFHC. By getting all the necessary information on VolunteerHub, it will greatly reduce the amount of last-minute paperwork and stress from the volunteer experience. Even better is that once volunteers are registered on VolunteerHub, they can continue to sign up for build dates individually whenever they?d like. VolunteerHub also allows more people to register than actually sign up for a date, so its easy to create an online waiting list.

To Register in the System:
- Go to
- Click on the ?VolunteerHub? icon on the right side of the screen.
- On the start screen, select register. Follow the instructions to create your Username and password.

The join code for your group is HIKE10. It is very important that you enter a Join Code, as it will open up availability reserved specifically for your group.

If you have previously registered on Volunteer Hub, the space to enter the join code is in step 2

To Sign Up for the Build date your group is assigned to:
- After signing in, find the specific date listed on the ?Events? page.

Click on BUILD ? BROOKLYN ON February 13. Follow the instructions on the screen. You may be prompted if you want to register for the event as an individual or as part of the group. Please select to be signed up as a member of the group to create room for other individuals outside of your group. If all 10 of your group spots are filled, you are free to sign up to any remaining individual slots.

- You should receive a confirmation e-mail up when you are successfully signed up for a day.

After getting signed up on VolunteerHub, we just need to make sure that everyone comes with a completed Waiver of Liability, which can be download at Chesapeake Habitat For Humanity
