How to sign up for Habitat for Humanity - Please read carefully

There are two steps every for every volunteer in your group:

1.)If he/she hasn’t already done so, create a user account on VolunteerHub. Be prepared with personal and emergency information

2.) Sign up for the groups specific build day. Every member must sign up on VolunteerHub no later than one week before the build date. Spots may be opened to other individuals if the group cannot fill them.

VolunteerHub is an online management program that is hugely beneficial for both for you and for the HFHC. By getting all the necessary information on VolunteerHub, it will greatly reduce the amount of last-minute paperwork and stress from the volunteer experience. Even better is that once volunteers are registered on VolunteerHub, they can continue to sign up for build dates individually whenever they’d like. VolunteerHub also has a built in waitlist program, so please take advantage of that as well.

To Register with Volunteer Hub :
- Go to Habitat Chesapeake Volunteer Hub

- On the start screen, select register. Follow the instructions to create your Username and password. The join code for your group is Hike10. It is very important that you enter a Join Code, as it will open up availability reserved specifically for your group.

- If you forget to put the join code in, after you register and sign in, click on my account and then click NEXT. the join code box is at the bottom of the screen. Continue to click next until asked to save your information.

To Sign Up for the Build date your group is assigned to:
- After signing in, find the specific date listed on the “Events” page. Click on the neighborhood specific Build (ie BUILD – Brooklyn). Follow the instructions on the screen. You may be prompted if you want to register for the event as an individual or as part of the group. Please select to be signed up as a member of the group to create room for other individuals outside of your group. If all 10 of your group spots are filled, you are free to sign up to any remaining individual slots.

- You will receive a confirmation e-mail up when you are successfully signed up for a day, along with details about the upcoming build.

After getting signed up on VolunteerHub, we just need to make sure that everyone comes with a completed Waiver of Liability, which can be download at http://habitatchesape...­, or can be e-mailed to you.
